Larry Pentis Announced as Keynote Speaker for SIR 40th Annual Conference

Indianapolis, IN, October 12, 2010 — The Society of Insurance Research (SIR) is pleased to announce that Larry Pentis, President and CEO of GMAC Insurance, will be the keynote speaker for its Annual Conference, taking place November 14 – 17, 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Joining GMAC Insurance in March of this year with over 27 years of insurance experience, Mr. Pentis leads an organization that has been in operation for nearly a century and is among the Top 20 largest auto insurance companies in the United States. He will share his outlook for the industry and key challenges faced by insurance and business executives.

SIR Vice President and Conference Chair Gary Hodge, of American Modern Insurance Group, says there are a number of attendees who are anxious to hear from Mr. Pentis: “I am very excited to add him as our Keynote Speaker. Many of our members come from property and casualty insurance companies and they are interested in hearing the industry perspective from a seasoned executive like Mr. Pentis.”

The SIR Annual Conference offers a thorough agenda on key issues facing insurance professionals today.
